Late Shedding, poor escutcheon, too tall, too beefy, not wedgy enough, 6 teats, calf by her brother (poor moral character), she wouldn't stand still for a picture, ...

Ah hell, she is one of my favorites and I just appreciate being able to take pictures of green grass, new babies and cows whose udders don't blow out on it- again.

If you stay in business long enough for me to need to buy another bull, I want a son, or one from her calf. I'll go ahead and fill out the Kent Powell application for customer status form 109_G, and hope I qualify. If not Jack has some pretty good stick bulls, maybe he can conjure one or two up.

Either way, approved or not, that is a pretty sweet cow, for a no growth, no milk, Emulous, pud kind of cow.

I thought I didn't need that stuff anymore. Wink I didn't realize it until you had me look, but she is pretty extreme in other areas too.

the epds are not for me; it`s for the mass of men who Thoreau said lived lives of quiet desperation Smile

I have always been drawn to cows with poor moral character. People on the other hand are a problem. How could a cow have a calf on her own with such a below average CED? Those huge birth epd's must be the culprit. Such low milk epd surely leads to a no uddered -starved calf, fuzzy pud raiser. I could never use such a cow, after all how could I ever sell the calves? You should just quit, give up, and become a banker, and maybe you will learn something about breeding the right kind, Kent. Tough love, I know, but it is for your own good.

Since it rained I thought I needed to go take some pictures. Then I realized I had 6 months worth of undeveloped digital imprints unexplored, so here are some.
For some reason I got two of everything and am not knowledgable enough to fix it.

More imperfections. I went to take pictures of cows grazing drilled corn, but they had eaten most it, and all that was left was stuff I didn't plant Eddie.

It was a little worrisome, as this was my last patch of good grass left. Lots of grass now though.

Soil types vary from decent to dang sorry in this field, as do the cattle.

A decent cow, on some sorry dirt

A less decent cow, with a sorry udder, on sorrier dirt

It started raining that evening, by morning I could no longer drive back here. The cows plowed it up pretty good. The last 5 inch rain we got was when the cows were here in March. The mud prints never got settled down. I believe they will this time around.
